Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
I joined the brotherhood back at lost hills, she was interested in preserving tech, however slowly over time the brotherhood became a shadow of itself opting to help wastelanders instead of preserving tech which was the intended goal maxon had. So when she heard rumors of outcasts she radiod in some false info and deserted her post while she was stationed at an outpost. She was then inducted into the outcasts becoming a full member of the order. Her only goal being making the brotherhood go back to what it used to be.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
Axel was just but a knight apprentice within the brotherhood, when he noticed his superiors aiding wastelanders instead of perserving technology instead! He was utterly disgusted by this breach of the holy codex. This led him to go on a mission with his knight and then he killed him and went on to defect into the outcasts.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
A Former Knight Apprentice that found the ideals of the codex was not being realized in his Chapter through his studious behavior. Compounding with his current title and age, many of those above him considered his attempted corrections as naivety and treasonous to their perverted view of the Codex.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts? 

I enlisted in the Brotherhood at Lost Hills. Initially drawn by the organization's dedication to preserving technology, I watched with dismay as its focus shifted over time. Instead of safeguarding tech, the Brotherhood began prioritizing aid to waste landers, a departure from Maxon's original vision. Disillusioned, I seized upon rumors of the Outcasts, transmitting fabricated information before deserting my outpost assignment. Joining the Outcasts, I embraced their cause wholeheartedly, driven by a singular objective: restoring the Brotherhood to its former glory.  I want to join because I want to focus on the preservation of technology and not people.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
Being raised in the Brotherhood of Steel, he quickly became a hardline follower of the Codex. As the years drag on and on, he slowly realized that this chapter of the Brotherhood didn't really upheld the Codex as it was supposed to, he even expressed his concern to his officer only to be ignored. He quickly grew tired of the the Brotherhood's administration and during one of the patrols he took the opportunity to run away. A lone Brotherhood member is bound to attract attention and he was found by an Outcast patrol who brought him to their base.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
Being raised in the Brotherhood of Steel led him to idolize those of higher ranks, he would take their words as gospel and follow orders without hesitation, but that would start to change when he was placed in the mentorship of a junior paladin at the age of 18. While under the mentorship of this paladin, he witnessed countless of his fellow brothers being killed in action, not for the Codex but for the high command's ambitions. As he saw this blasphemy that strayed from the codex righteous path he began to look for a group where he could serve true leaders that had intent on bringing the brotherhood back to its former glory. This is where through rumor, he heard of the Outcasts.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
(Rust was born to an unknown raider/waster/nomad group, He never knew them nor did he care because those weren't his real parents to him. At only 6 months old his birth parents were ambushed by a BOS patrol traveling when they stumbled across the group killing them and looting and useful tech and materials.

A young knight by the name of Elias Axon found a small baby wrapped in blankets in a rusty metal water barrel wrapped to a brahmin. He took the baby and named it Rust raising it in the ways of the Brotherhood and the Codex, instructing him from a young age the skills, knowledge, and convictions he would need to succeed. His father Elias would be extremely conservative in his views of the codex and how the faction should be run attaining a following of supporters, and even attaining the rank of knight commander.

The elder and Elias often butted heads and got into long heated disputes over opinion. One day the Elder sent Elias and a handful of his closest supporters on a mission to infiltrate a local mercenary faction's compound and plant demolition charges. The mission was a complete failure and when they arrived to the planting site they were surrounded by dozens of men as if they had known about the plan. They were forced to surrender after killing a dozen or so and were tied to logs and burned alive within their armor over a slow fire for hours.

Rust was 15 at the time and vowed vengeance on the Elder and mercenaries. He wouldn't get it though, as the quick witted Elder quickly formed a large army to annihilate the mercenaries turning there compound into an acre of flames, ash, and rubble. By 17 Rust was a quiet yet strongly convicted BOS member only a senior squire but known as a knowledgeable and disciplined member of the family. Instead of a painful death or coup for the Elder he died peacefully in his sleep. Surrounded by his closest confidants, family, and political allies. 

Elias Axons death had killed the conservative factions power quickly after many in the conservatives knew but had no proof of the purposeful sabotage of their mission spreading fear and weakening their resolve. The rest of the Brotherhood practically martyrized him painting as Elias' avenger and the brotherhoods savior. By 18 it was no longer safe or smart for Rust to stay after he had lost his young friends support and his fathers old allies ignored and plotted against him, telling the progressive leaders his plans and words. He packed a bag of clothes, some caps, and essentials he would need to find the Outcast BOS Elias Axon had left coordinates for and left. )

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
Cassius was born into the Brotherhood of steel, from within the Lost Hills Bunker, his Mother a Paladin from within the Chapter and his Father a Scribe. Both setting an excellent example for the young Cassius. The core of the Codex and the Brotherhood was drilled into him since birth improving his knowledge and setting the stage for his personal beliefs. He was taught everything he knew about combat and the Field of Battle from his Mother. Plus the time Cassius spent within the simulators, this made him a Perfect Candidate to become a Paladin. But all his knowledge was not in the field of Combat, his farther made sure of this, he gave his son a proper education. The extra lesions where more on the lines of history, the history of the wasteland, the brotherhood and America as a whole. Although technical knowhow was not lost on Cassius as he made sure he knew how to maintain a suit of Power Armor and Laser Weaponry.

Once he became a Paladin he was sent on the Expedition to the Mojave. the Tenants of the Codex where still drilled into his head. The Expedition had one goal and that was to relieve the Mojave Chapter of their Elder and once this was done Cassius was soon promoted to the station of Star Paladin, put in charge of reforming and recruiting into the Paladin Caste. Doing so very Successfully during his time and doing his station justice unlike the previous Head Paladin and Commander.

Sadly though Cassius would be lost after he and a few of his Paladins where sent on a Expedition East to view the Strength of the already mighty legion. Being the Only survivor of the Expedition, Cassius Returned to a Brotherhood he no longer recognised. With the Chapter no longer following the Tenants of the Codex Cassius believed in so heavily since childhood. So with no disillusion or hesitation he saw that it needed to change and joined the Mutiny now known as the Outcasts to one day hopefully make the Mojave Chapter will see sense, or it be the reason its destroyed.

So many years after The Great War, the origins of his name is lost on Dominique. All he knows it was from a time long past, where the world stood proud. Yet, as empires rose and fell, with only the strongest remaining, that pride became hubris. Centuries later, standing upon the dusted wastelands of the old world, Dominque was faced with the crippling realization that the group he had dedicated his life to stand with was following that same ruinous path. 

Though his family was not part of the original founding members of the Brotherhood, They had joined up sometime in 2156 amidst the war against the Vipers. Though the Brotherhood had ceased open recruitment from the wasteland over a decade prior, the deaths of many brotherhood members had lead to minor recruitment here and there, though it was never openly acknowledged. Saving a Brotherhood patrol from a Viper ambush by unintentionally flanking them during the attack, Dominque's 2nd great grandfather was brought into the folds of the BOS, though he was never truly accepted as one of them.

As the years passed, and Dominique's ancestors integrated themselves into the brotherhood, that stigma against them never truly faded. the families of those who were properly sworn in over the previous century looked down upon them, and as they grew in power and rank, Dominque's family never did, always relegated to being Scribes or Apprentice Knights and looked over at every opportunity. Despite this bias against them, his family stood as proud members of the Brotherhood, and served the Codex faithfully without straying from its core teachings.

When Dominique was born, it was celebrated as every child was in the Brotherhood, and as the years went by Dominque became more and more zealous, truly believing in the Brotherhood's cause. Throwing himself into the teachings of his faction, and constantly pushing himself, Dominque was the first in his family to reach the rank of Knight at 27. With it, he gained access to more knowledge than his family had ever had before, and he delved into it, immersing himself in the journals, notes, and reports of the years long since forgotten. With this new knowledge, however, came the realization that the Brotherhood was slowly but surely drifting from its core values.

By the time he reached 40, Dominque had grown cynical and callous, yet his understanding of the teachings of the Brotherhood was impossible to ignore. After being promoted to Knight Sergeant following his promotion to Senior Knight in his mid 30's, Dominque lead a small expedition to a forward outpost being used by the Brotherhood as a listening post, spying on the BOS' enemies. Yet when he arrived, he found a bustling hub of trade and commerce with out of uniform NCR members and wasters traveling to and fro. What shocked him most, however, was the clear trade of tech between a BOS scribe and one of these NCR members. Disgusted by this act, Dominque approached the commander of the listening post and demanded an explanation. Of all the answers he expected to receive, the fact that this trading was approved by the Elder was not one of them. 

Distraught and confused by this clear violation of everything the Brotherhood stood for, Dominque returned to Helios demanding answers. What he received was being told that 'The Elder's decisions are not for you to judge.' and a brusque dismissal from the office. So there he found himself, sitting outside of the Brotherhood base, his armor and weapons not with him. Looking back once more, Dominque sighed as he left the only home he knew on his 41st birthday in search of like-minded individuals. In the end, he did end up finding such people in the form of the Outcasts, where the next chapter of his life would begin.

Background, Why did you join the Outcasts?
After disagreeing with the Elder of the BoS, Damion Gunnar abandoned the BoS when sent on a tech reclamation mission in order to stop following what he didn't believe in. Damion's mission was to uphold the BoS mission, but do it the right way. When the Outcasts emerged in the wastes, Damion saw this as an opportunity for a new beginning.
