  1. Outcasts is when no allies cause all factions violate your faction ideals to some extent. By this logic, a lot of factions would have no allies then, when the reality is that it's better to have allies than to not have allies and every faction practices this on the server "sure they may break our factions ideals, but it's better to have them fight at our side than against us". It's shit logic and it's pure baby-rage instead of attempting to have a discussion.
  2. OOC SteamID: STEAM_0:1:78217818 Discord: sythen Other Characters: Marked Man "Florida" (deleting this character potentially) Warrior Sullivan Wallace (WBOS) Buffkraut (Fiend, deleting/repurposing this character potentially) Time Zone: EST ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IC In-Game Name: Talus Yearling Age: 20 Background, Why did you join the Outcasts? A Former Knight Apprentice that found the ideals of the codex was not being realized in his Chapter through his studious behavior. Compounding with his current title and age, many of those above him considered his attempted corrections as naivety and treasonous to their perverted view of the Codex.
  3. As weird as it may sound as a point to argue from. I dont think the published titles or works are indicative of what is potentially possible for the setting. A good example is the killing of children in the series, often scrubbed due to consumer and publisher/investor sensibilities. I could simply reason thay the reason why it wouldn't be in game is because the era in which the medium was created was sensitive to said words or subject matters. Though I can understand as to why the lack of it can potentially suspend ones belief on server, I just dont agree that this is an argument to set down as this can simply apply to anything else in server, like particular factions using Power Armor as they were never depicted as such, or cyborgs with full motor functions if not outright enhanced by them, or that furries can now use VC for deathclaws cause it happened to have happened in a game.
  4. The only reason why Grigga is considered more obscene than greenback is because the only word you care about is the N-word and not the one referring primarily to a nationality. Frankly, Im of a "absolutist speech" mentality as long as it remains in character, but staff in all settings and servers are too braindead and retarded to determine a difference and the playerbase of any server doesn't make it all too clear. You're playing a PvP server with rp aspects after all.
  5. This encourages players to speculate who voted what, transperancy would be revealing the names, not keeping them anonymous. Frankly, you're going to know who voted what anyways when an SC is vocal about being against something but the rest of the votes are in favor of it. And if you didn't know, you'd be DMing each SC who voted what way and why.
  6. So you either dont go for the officer or have accepted the risk, I dont understand the issue here. It was stated that kidnapping an officer has A RISK of being seen and catching a war reason, which implies if you weren't seen and successfully vendored him, NLR applies. If thats not the case, thats dumb Id support it to be an NLR activation If people are wearing officer armor w/o its appropriate whitelist, it shouldn't count to a war reason, we had this fight on CGC already. If you want higher pay, I agree it you should for an appropriate risk, the higher the WL, the higher the pay. You shouldn't get a blanket higher pay when every faction genuinely pushes people to identify Officer armors and to be aware of them to avoid kidnapping them and catching the dreaded war reason, which would just mean the active response is still "avoid Officer armor" which means its just a request for more pay on a system with little risk as is. Avoiding conversation to come to understandings or compromises just results in groups scorned. I get this server and CGC had the bullshit of arguments, but I have every intention of hearing your side if presented beyond the current poor arguments displayed by those actively conversating with me.
  7. Well its a good thing you can identify who is an Officer and who isnt, cause they'd actively have to wear the armor for the war reason count, right? The risk was chosen, much like mugging someone, and you chose a larger risk. The waster is less likely to get you PKd than a faction member, which means it carries less risk, so kidnapping someone not in officer gear carries less risk inherently, thus your reward. Only way you could potentially get me on board is if payout was based on the players whitelist, that way the officer and NCO (if faction has this whitelist) would be more worthwhile due to "muh risk", and someone simply of a faction more worthwhile than a waster.
  8. Regardless, the benefit in my opinion is a riskless money maker, sure IF you kidnap officers and HC you COULD get a war reason Otherwise? Enlisted, unarmored officers/hc and wastelanders (majority of populace at peak kidnap times) get insta sold via vendor. I dont think it should be bumped in payout JUST BECAUSE mugging got bumped, it should be bumped to incentivize its route of money making and to make it a viable way to make money.
  9. With the way it is currently coded this is no doable, as the act of handcuffing someone is not tied to the slave vendor. It may need the requirement of when you handcuff them, you interact with them and selecting an option to "begin enslavement tracker" which may not be feasible in its own right, but I dont know much about coding
  10. I don't trust the word of a communist.
  11. The Legion bases itself off of the Roman Legion, emphasis on bases. It is not the Roman Legion, in fact they speak their own anglosized latin combination. Its why they say things like Ave and Vale but still use much of the english language like "degenerates like you belong on a cross" or "you bear the mark of Caesar." A good example of this irl is how states or countries have different terms but still speak English overall, Jamacian is a very good example as you can sort of hear English but there are additional terms, Trinidad is another good example of this along with Pigin(?) English where its very broken down and simplified. Tl;dr - The Legion speaks its own Anglo-Latin English dialect where it adopts Latin in some aspects but not entirely.
  12. -1 undemocratic, needs a cup of liber-tea.
