Shepherd Posted September 25, 2024 at 09:33 PM Share Posted September 25, 2024 at 09:33 PM TLDR: LINK HIGH END STOCKS TO EACH OTHER IN FACTION VENDORS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF HIGH ENDS IN CIRCULATION; I.E; STOCK OF 2 ON ANTI-MAT AND SR-25, BUY AN ANTI-MAT, TAKES 1 STOCK DOWN FROM SR-25 TOO Obviously this doesn't mean EVERY high end and it's very determinate but for some guns and factions, yes this should be done ======================================================== What do you want to be changed? For certain factions (That have a high number of Custom Order High End weapons and such, THIS CAN ALSO BE TIED INTO THEIR MID-ENDS DEPENDING HOW MANY THEY HAVE) tie their stocks together with other high end weapons in order to reduce the massive amount of high ends that CAN be deployed (I.e, this is to stop some factions from having around 9-15 high ends in the upcoming weeks/month. I AM NOT SUGGESTING THIS FOR ALL FACTIONS, JUST SOME THAT HAVE A MASSIVE ADVANTAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF “HERBA DER I SPENT MORE MONEY ON THE SERVER THAN YOU!!!” EXCUSES THEY CAN USE OR HAD SAID CO’s ACCEPTED DURING A TIME OF NO CHECKS AND BALANCES. Example; (Rough draft example not a literal suggestion) BOS Vendor; - Mr. Gat (2/2) - Plasma Gauss (2/2) - Gauss Rifle (2/2) All at a max stock of 2-3, meaning they will have to carefully choose and levy their options, so to purchase a stock of a Mr. Gat would also tie to the stock of the Plasma Gauss and Gauss Rifle, leaving only one left to buy, and to then purchase a stock of the Plasma Gauss would deplete the stock completely from the three weapons, meaning they will have to wait until restock in order to purchase a Gauss. Or alternatively they could purchase 2 Mr. Gats but they will be left without a Gauss or Plasma Gauss until they get another chance when restock occurs. (AGAIN, NOT AN IDEA JUST A ROUGH EXAMPLE OF WHAT I’M SUGGESTING) Explanation of suggestion? Entering into 4.0, SC made an effort to staunch the bleeding that pours in from the high number of High Ends that pour out from factions, this mostly being a result of the issue of how many custom order guns float around in the community and how they just add into the problem. CGC by contrast, had very similar stocks to what we have in our community HOWEVER, they had NO WHERE NEAR the amount of guns some factions have access to now, NCR for example; CGC NCR Available High/Intermediate Ends (Non-Researched); - Anti-mat - Ranger Sequoia - M2 Browning - Mk. 2 Service Rifle - Sniper Rifle - Marksman Carbine - Hunting Rifle - Cowboy Repeater - (That was it to my knowledge, no doubt I missed a couple but frankly the list of weapons held to a high standard wasn’t very big and these guns are no where near as strong as what is available to divide now) Divide NCR Available High/Intermediate Ends (Non-Researched); - Anti-mat - Ranger Sequoia - M2 Browning - Mk. 2 Service Rifle - Ranger Carbine - SR-25 - Maple Shotgun - AUG - Sniper Rifle - Hunting Rifle - Light Machine Gun - Minigun - Brass Cowboy Repeater - Sten (Fairly sure it was removed or lost) - Flambé (Removed after) Im not singling out NCR here, they’re just the best example to use, on top of the plethora of other things they and other factions have. There are a ton of other factions like Khans, VT, TT, WBOS, Outcasts, BOS, DR, and so on who have a considerable amount of additional weapons added that poise to the problem. Which may not affect us right NOW but will inevitably in the future and then we land RIGHT back where we’ve landed in every wipe, a high in on every corner and the problem remains unsolved. This can be like pairing The M72 and Winchester, Pairing the Thor and Cyrolator, Ballistic Fist and Super Sledge (AGAIN, JUST BLANK IDEAS IM THROWING AROUND OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD NOT ACTUAL SUGGESTIONS YET) Again, rough example, there are things to hammer out with things involving Projectile based weapons and such, but you get the general idea. How or why does this benefit the server? It makes factions pick and choose very carefully about their assortment of which high ends they want while also limiting the crazy amount that can be fielded, it still allows for leeway and some factions really don’t need this limitation, some others are definitely needing some kind of bar from deploying upwards of 8-9 high ends per month. Yes, this suggestion may seem hurtful, but keep in mind the reason wipes lasted for as long as they did in CGC (Around a year) was due to the fact they didn’t allow high end troubles or massive stockpile and quartermaster problems to overflow from the community with mega amounts of guns to hand out, HERE however, the issue is unyielding and this is just an idea I personally have to try and heal it because I can already sense some factions are going to have a mega amount of high ends soon enough and other issues with PA, Stocks, The economy, crashes, bugs, and so on aren't helping its situation. IF ANYONE HAS ALTERNATIVES, IDEAS, OR SUGGESTIONS INVOLVING THE HIGH END STOCK ISSUE, BY ALL MEANS, POST THEM BELOW. Are there any workshop add-ons or content needed for this suggestion? ========================================================

Shepherd Posted September 28, 2024 at 10:56 PM Author Share Posted September 28, 2024 at 10:56 PM Accepted Senior Admins/SC will be reviewing each vendor for factions and speaking to faction HC in order to decide on linking stocks between one another.
